About the Role:

IBM Consulting is hiring a Space Planning Analyst to join its Enterprise Operations team in Bangalore. This is a fantastic opportunity for early professionals eager to work with data and derive meaningful business insights. The position is part of IBM’s BPO services, which support global digital transformation initiatives through advanced technologies like AI, agile methodology, and process mining.

As a Space Planning Analyst, you will work with retail and CPG data sources such as NIQ, Circana, and Spins. You’ll collaborate across teams to clean and analyze data, build meaningful reports, and offer insights that drive decision-making. This is a role that blends technical proficiency with analytical thinking and strong communication skills.

Your Responsibilities:

• Extract raw data from NIQ, Circana, Spins, and similar sources.
• Clean, validate, and organize datasets for analysis.
• Work with Excel, VBA, and SQL to build insightful reports.
• Publish Excel reports for downstream business use.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to understand data needs.
• Apply knowledge of the retail/CPG industry in your analysis.

Requirements:

Education:

• Required: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Application, Science, or related discipline
• Preferred: Master's Degree

• 1–3 years of relevant experience in data acquisition and analysis
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, VBA, and SQL
• Exposure to retail and CPG datasets like NIQ, Circana, or Spins

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Team-oriented mindset and ability to multitask
• Prior experience in the retail or consumer packaged goods sector
